We are Elena Ilie and Cotea Cristina, the founders of the Barhat brand, and our journey in the eyelash extensions industry began in 2013, at a time when this niche was just starting in Romania. Our first online store was called Grandhall.ro, and at that time the range of eyelash extensions was extremely limited - and so was the number of technicians practicing this craft.
We first learned about eyelash extensions after they became popular in Asia and Russia, and the idea immediately appealed to us. We felt it was an area with long-term potential, so we started testing products and looking for reliable suppliers. It wasn't an easy road - we had unsuccessful collaborations, products that didn't meet our standards, delays and lots of trial and error.
However, we've always had one principle behind every decision:
"Never compromise on quality and customer satisfaction, while respecting our own limits and the principle of mutual respect".
Even if sometimes we were abandoning whole ranges of products and seemed to be losing in the moment, in the long run we realized that it was precisely this approach that brought us stability and confidence.
We grew step by step, quickly eliminated everything that didn't support business development and continued to constantly improve. Lash-making is a small niche, aimed mainly at women, and that makes the challenge even bigger. It's not about high volume, it's about returning customers - and for that, the quality of product and service is key.
Over the years, we've built a solid base of thousands of repeat customers, and the reason is simple: we've kept our word. The quality of Barhat's products and care for every customer is the cornerstone of our brand.
When our range started to develop more and more, we felt it was time to build a new brand - Barhat - and the Barhat.ro store. We wanted more than just a logo or a label on a product. We wanted a community, a team, a family.
Over the years, we've been sponsors of numerous eyelash extension championships, giving valuable lash gifts to artists - a gesture we wanted to show our gratitude and support for the profession and the passionate people who carry it forward.
At the same time, the Barhat family was joined by ambassadors from many cities in the country, professionals who make a real contribution to the development of the brand. We don't only collaborate on the promotion side, but we actually work together on the structure and evolution of Barhat, sharing the same vision and desire for progress.
We don't want to talk about the quality of each product or to glorify certain ranges. We strongly believe that every customer should form his own opinion through testing and personal experience. This is the only way he can truly evolve and discover what suits him - without the influence of other people's opinions.
All we can say is that, when choosing Barhat products, we thought about balance: to offer a range that satisfies the majority of customers, both in terms of the right price/quality ratio and consistency of results.
For us, Barhat is more than a brand - it's a story built on hard work, passion and people. Each product carries with it years of experience, trials and the desire to deliver the best. We are grateful to every lash artist who has been by our side and we are happy to see Barhat growing through the hands of those who believe in the same vision: evolution, quality and community.
